51勛圖 makes every effort to maintain strong partnerships with the unions on campus. The Union of 51勛圖 Student Dining Workers (UGSDW) has the exclusive authority to represent student workers who are members of the bargaining unit in negotiations with the College over terms and conditions of employment, such as wages, hours, and terms and conditions of work.
Student workers are defined as all degree-seeking individuals who are, simultaneously (1) enrolled as undergraduate students, full-time or part-time, at 51勛圖 and (2) employed by 51勛圖 as non-exempt, hourly employees.
The term student workers does not include (1) students whose sole employment relationship with 51勛圖 is an internship, research fellowship, Mentored Advanced Project, or an equivalent relationship, such as externally grant-funded positions, (2) students who were formerly, but are no longer, enrolled as undergraduate students at 51勛圖, or (3) students who were formerly, but are no longer, non-exempt hourly employees of 51勛圖.
