Alma has served in academic and student-centered roles at Valencia College and the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She has also taught undergraduate biology courses at Valencia College. In her current role as an Academic Assistant I, she supports faculty in the German Studies, European studies, East Asian studies departments, as well as the Mellon May Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) program. Alma is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. She also holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
